Theme: “Meeting the Needs of the Modern Utility Industry”

 

As the electric power system evolves, loads such as computational and industrial facilities are seeking to connect to the bulk power system (BPS) faster than ever before.  This workshop will focus on describing the challenges and needs with integrating these large loads into the modern grid.  Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss these needs with expert panelists from utility providers, key utility vendors and leading academic researchers.

  • Please visit the registration table each day for check-in information and to receive a name badge.
  • Wednesday workshop sessions include afternoon break refreshments (lunch on your own).  A reception and CAPER project poster session will take place 5:00-7:00 pm in the McKimmon Center.
  • Thursday workshop sessions include continental breakfast, break refreshments and lunch.
 
Parking Instructions:
  • Parking in the front lots of the McKimmon Center is free and usually plentiful.  There are three smaller parking lots on each side of the Center that are reserved for University employees.  Visitors are asked to park in designated visitor parking spaces in order to avoid ticketing.
