Electric load is growing at its fastest pace in decades at a time when coal plants are retiring and policy uncertainty is high. In this environment, utilities are facing a perhaps unprecedented challenge in balancing affordability and reliability. The 2026 CAPER Spring Meeting will examine how southeastern utilities are adapting their resource-planning strategies to face these mounting challenges.

CAPER Policy requires all attendees, including invited speakers and sponsors to register. Registrations are non-refundable.

Wednesday sessions include afternoon break refreshments (lunch on your own). A reception and CAPER project poster session will take place 5:00-7:00 pm in the Harris Alumni Center – Closed Session – Open to CAPER Members Only.
Thursday workshop sessions include continental breakfast, break refreshments and lunch.
Parking Instructions:
Parking is located in Lot 27 and permits are required. Visitors can purchase daily permits in advance or day of, using the link below. Attendees are asked to park in this designated lot to avoid ticketing and back-in parking is not permitted.
